So you want to be a mermaid

So you want to be a mermaid?

Excellent! This day and age it is as acceptable as ever to dive deep into the mermaid haircolor trend. Just like putting on a killer outfit and heels, vivid hair can give you a whole level of confidence you didnt even know you were lacking! BUT, there are several things you need to know before jumping right in.

  1. You get what you pay for. The appointment can sometimes take SEVERAL hours depending on your starting level of hair, condition, and previous chemical services. Do your research and find yourself a vivid hair specialist in your city. Check out their work on instagram and book a consultation. Your stylist will be able to do the breakdown for you, so you know what you’re getting and WHY. If they’re good at what they do, i promise, itll be worth every cent!
  2. At home maintenance is a MUST. You’ll need a color safe shampoo and a color-depositing conditioner. I highly recommend this one. You’ll need to take cold showers and use dry shampoo inbetween washings to keep the color going strong! Detailed info about colorful hair maintenance can be found in this blog post I wrote just for you!
  3. You’ll find a level of confidence you didnt know you had. If you’re brave enough for rainbow brite hair, you can take on anything!
  4. You will get a TON of attention. I mean it. ALOT. Mostly positive. People will compliment you left and right and tell you how much they “wish” they could do that with their hair. Strangers will be jealous. Kids will tell you THAT is their favorite color. Even grannies LOVE unicorn hair. People will get excited when you talk about your next hair appointment, anticipating what you’ll get next.

You dont have to be a crazy free spirit to have fun hair. It’s another way to express yourself and remind the world: There is only one YOU.

I hope you enjoyed this article! What made you DECIDE to take the plung?

Cheers! xo
